Design Your Spacer System 2 ways to design a Spacer System
1. Distributed.
Place your dimmers around the room. This way you can control each aspect of your lighting by pointing at a different dimmer using either the 4 or 6 button remote.
2. Ganged
Install all the dimmers for a room in a single wall grouping. Then, using either the 4 button (with which you can have 1 favorite scene stored) or 6 button remote (which stores 4 scenes) set your lighting scenes at the dimmers and control them all with one push of a button.
When using the gang method, you also may use the Wall Mounted Master Control in addition to or instead of a 6 button remote. Both controls will allow you to control all of the dimmers in a wall grouping and both will store 4 scenes.
Dimmer and control features that help you design your system
Individual Dimmer Features
An individual dimmer controls up to 600 or 1000 Watts of lighting depending on the model.
When you “lock in” a preset level, it automatically turns on to that level any time the dimmer is turned on manually.
The 7 LEDs on the left of the switch indicate light level and function as a night light.
The 2 buttons on the right of the switch are to raise or lower the light level.
You can locate your dimmers around the room instead of just by the entrances.
Press and hold the switch for a variable 10 to 60 second fade to off which allows you to exit the room before the light is gone.
Lamp Dimmer Features
The Lamp dimmer allows you to incorporate free standing fixtures into your remote lighting plan
The lamp dimmer functions the same as the wall dimmer and controls up to 300W
Just plug the dimmer into the wall and then plug your lamp(s) into the dimmer
Master Control
The Master control can control all the dimmers in a single wall grouping.
The Master Control sends IR signals to the right and left so may be mounted on the right or left end of the gang plate.
4 preset buttons allow you to create different “scenes” in your room. Simply set each dimmer to the desired level and then press and hold the corresponding scene button to lock in the preset at the master control.
Remote Controls
There are two styles of remote control
The 4 button remote has an on button, an off button and two smaller raise and lower buttons
o The on button first turns your dimmer to your preset level, and then to full on if pressed again
The 6 button remote has 4 preset scene buttons, an off button and a master raise/lower toggle switch
o Simply set your dimmers to the desired levels for your lighting scene, then press and hold a scene button to lock it in.
