The Motionbulb™ is the new and revolutionary light bulb that turns on automatically when you enter the room and turns off automatically when you leave. The Motionbulb™ light bulb screws into any ordinary light socket and will detect movement up to 25 feet away!

One Motionbulb™ will last as long as 10 regular light bulbs so you won´t have to change your light for up to 5 years! How does the Motionbulb™ work?
The Motionbulb™ sensor "sees" temperature changes caused by the motion of people in its detection zone and turns on automatically. it saves energy and money, welcomes visitors and may deter intruders.

How long do the lights stay on?
The Motionbulb™ remains on as long as there is movement within the detection zone. Once the zone is vacated, The Motionbulb™ will remain on according to your preferred adjustment, which can be anywhere from approximately ten seconds up to 5 minutes. Since the lights are on only when needed, and the CFL bulb only uses 20 watts while emiiting the equivalent of 75 watts of light, The Motionbulb™ proves convenient and energy efficient.

How do you make adjustments to the sensor?
Simply turn the dial to adjust the sensitivity to ambient light. Turning the dial towards the Sun/Moon icon will set The Motionbulb to turn on if the room is light or dark.

Turning the dial towards the Moon icon will set The Motionbulb to turn on only when the room is dark.

Choosing a location
The best location is where the sensor can "see" your paths of movement. As distance from the sensor increases, larger movement will be required for detection.

Can I use a shade?
The Motionbulb is not meant to be used in a standing lamp or fixture with a glass or fabric shade. However, if it is a hanging shade, just make sure the sensor is not covered by the shade. Small or medium sized pendant shades can be used to cover the bulb while keeping the sensor exposed to detect motion.
